Agoraphobic Nosebleed é um grupo estadunidense, que tem em seu epicentro Scott Hull, mais conhecido por ter tocado em diversas bandas da cena grindcore mundial, como o Anal Cunt, e também por liderar o excelente Pig Destroyer. Pode se dizer que o Agoraphobic Nosebleed é seu projeto mais pessoal, a formação aqui nunca se estabilizou, diversos músicos já tocaram ao longo de sua extensa discografia, assim como por diversas vezes Scott assumiu todos os instrumentos e fez tudo por si só.

Como não poderia deixar de ser, a parte lírica é um tanto agressiva, disparando para todos os lados críticas sobre a política, drogas e a violência que assola o mundo como um todo. Musicalmente o Agoraphobic é responsável por introduzir o uso da "drum machine", que se tornaria recorrente em gêneros mais extremos do metal, ou seja, a bateria programada por meio de computador com uma velocidade humanamente impossível de se tocar (por volta das 1000bpm).

Altered Stats Of America chama a atenção pela extensão da sua tracklist, ao mesmo tempo que tem a duração curtíssima. São 100 faixas em pouco mais de 20 minutos, estas que variam de 5 segundos a 1 minuto de duração em seu máximo. É simplesmente insanidade pura.
